Check Out this Indian Take on Disney Princesses

I know many girls who have dressed up as Disney Princesses. I have never seen this take on them though. Instagram model Hamel Patel has combined her love for Disney Princess with her family’s heritage. On her Instagram she stated:

“I finally get to show you guys the series I’ve been working on! 🙈 Growing up I always wished there was a Disney Princess I could relate to, one that represented where I came from. So I came up with this idea many months ago and I’m so happy how they turned out! Introducing outfits/makeup looks inspired by the eight original Disney Princesses we all grew up watching, with a little desi twist!”

I think these are phenomenal. I know at first glance I couldn’t see who a couple of them were, but when I took more than 2 seconds to look, everything became clear. These are masterpieces and I wish more people would do similar things. I would love to see more Disney Princess inspired photos that mix in some more traditional outfits from all over the world.
