Check Out This Visually Awesome Fan-Made Video Tribute to AKIRA Called AWAKEN AKIRA

While we wait to see what director Taika Waititi ends up doing with his live-action adaptation of Akria, we have an incredibly cool fan-made tribute for you to watch. It's called Awaken Akira and it was created by Ash Thorp and Zaoeyo. It took them over a year to create this one-minute tribute and as you'll see, it turned out extremely cool! The short shows their love for Katsuhiro Otomo’s work by digitally updating some of the most iconic scenes from Akira. It's visually stunning work! It also comes complete with the incredible musical score. Akira is considered one of the most influential anime films of all time and these guys did an incredible job paying tribute to it. Awaken Akira was created by two friends, Ash Thorp and Zaoeyo (XiaoLin Zeng), who wanted to collaborate on a tribute to the iconic anime, Akira, by Katsuhiro Otomo. It's creation took over a year, as we had to coordinate our time on it with other project commitments.
