CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA Part 5 Would Have Featured a Crossover with RIVERDALE
Last week it was announced that Chilling Adventures of Sabrina would be coming to an end after Part 4. Unfortunately, Netflix canceled the series. We’ve since learned that showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa had plans in place for Part 5 and that storyline would have included a crossover with Riverdale. He shared in a tweet:
“Thank you for all the love, Sabrina fans. Part Four is our best yet and Part Five, Witch War, would have been AMAZING. To be continued in the pages of #CAOS comic book...”
We’ll still get to see how this story plays out in comic book form, as Witch War is a still-ongoing story for Sabrina in the comics, but it just won’t be the same. In that story, the residents of Greendale and Riverdale see a fierce rivalry between Sabrina, Betty, and Veronica.
Netflix shared a synopsis for what the final 8-episode season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has in store:
The Eldritch Terrors will descend upon Greendale. The coven must fight each terrifying threat one-by-one (The Weird, The Returned, The Darkness to name a few), all leading up to… The Void, which is the End of All Things. As the witches wage war, with the help of The Fright Club, Nick begins to slowly earn his way back into Sabrina's heart, but will it be too late?"
I’ve enjoyed watching this series and and I’m bummed that it’s coming to an end, but I hope this final season ends up being a good one!
