Chilling First Trailer for DR. DEATH Series Starring Joshua Jackson, Alec Baldwin, and Christian Slater
Peacock has released the first trailer for the upcoming series Dr. Death. The series stars Joshua Jackson (Dawson’s Creek, Fringe, Little Fires Everywhere), Alec Baldwin (Beetlejuice, 30 Rock), and Christian Slater (True Romance, Mr. Robot), as well as Carrie Preston (True Blood, The Good Wife), Dominic Burgess (Santa Clarita Diet), Grace Gummer (Mr. Robot), and AnnaSophia Robb (Bridge to Terabithia, The Way Way Back).
The show is based on the Wondery podcast of the same name, which recounted the horrifying true story of Dr. Christopher Duntsch (Jackson), a charismatic Dallas, Texas-based neurosurgeon whose flourishing practice becomes the subject of scrutiny after patients leave his operations permanently maimed or dead.
Dr. Death is written and executive produced by Patrick Macmanus (Happy!), who will also serve as showrunner, with directors Maggie Kiley (Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story), who will also executive produce the first two episodes, Jennifer Morrison (Euphoria), and So Yong Kim (Grand Army).
This series is not for the squeamish or those with major hospital anxiety. The podcast was riveting, but rough. I can’t wait to see Jackson in the role, and I love the rest of the cast as well. Check out the trailer below, and watch Dr. Death on Peacock this summer.
