Chiwetel Ejiofor Shares His Excitement To Work with Sam Raimi on DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS

It was recently confirmed that Chiwetel Ejiofor would be back to reprise his role as Karl Mordo, a Master of the Mystic Arts, in Marvel’s Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness. The character was set up to return for a sequel in the first film, but he hasn’t appeared in any MCU since. It’ll be interesting to see how his character has evolved over time, but we all know that he will most likely come back as a villain.

During a recent interview with Games Radar to promote his upcoming Netflix movie The Old Guard, Ejiofor shared his excitement about working with Evil Dead director Sam Raimi in the movie, saying that he’s excited to see what he ends up doing with that world.

"I love Sam Raimi, so I'm very excited that he's making a film, the second Doctor Strange. He brings to anything he does, a wealth of imagination and passion. In this genre, he's just one of the seminal figures. I remember seeing Darkman when I was a kid. It was beyond, it's so amazing."

"So I think he has an incredible mind and I think he's really able to bring that mind into his storytelling in a really unique way, and it's very suited to the world that's been created by Doctor Strange, and I'm very excited to see what he does with that world."

I’m equally as excited, the actor mentions all of the reason why I think Raimi is a perfect director to take on Doctor Strange in the MCU. I have a feeling he’s going to do some crazy and awesome things!

This next film is being set up as an important aspect of the MCU as it will truly break open the multiverse in the MCU. It will also tie into the events of both Disney+ shows WandaVision and Loki.
