Chris Hemsworth and Halle Berry Team Up for a High-Stakes Heist in Trailer for Amazon’s CRIME 101
Amazon MGM Studios has released the first trailer for Crime 101, and it’s packed with slick tension, cool getaway energy, and an all-star cast.
Set in the sun-soaked sprawl of Los Angeles, Crime 101 centers on a mysterious jewel thief, played by Chris Hemsworth, who has perfected the art of high-stakes heists along the 101 freeway.
When he sets his sights on one last big score, his path collides with an insurance broker portrayed by Halle Berry. The two find themselves drawn into a dangerous alliance that tests loyalty, trust, and survival.
As the operation unfolds, Mark Ruffalo steps in as a relentless detective who’s closing in fast. With millions on the line and secrets unraveling, the film blurs the line between who’s chasing whom. The tension ramps up as each character is forced to face the consequences of their choices.
The cast of Crime 101 also features Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Nick Nolte, Tate Donovan, Devon Bostick, Payman Maadi, Babak Tatfi, Deborah Hedwall, Paul Adelstein, Drew Powell, Matthew Del Negro, and John Douglas.
The film is based on Don Winslow’s acclaimed novella of the same name and is directed by Bart Layton, known for his gripping work on American Animals and The Imposter. Layton co-wrote the screenplay with Peter Straughan, who recently earned an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for Conclave in 2025.
Crime 101 looks like the kind of sleek, character-driven thriller that blends smart storytelling with big-movie energy. It will be released in theaters on February 13th.
