Chris Hemsworth Shares FURIOSA Set Photo Featuring Himself as Warlord Dementus

Chris Hemsworth recently shared a photo of himself from the set of George Miller’s badass-looking film Furisona: A Mad Max Saga. The image features the actor all decked out as the villainous character Warlord Dementus. Hemsworth is unrecognizable in this role, but it looks like he had a crazy fun time making the movie!

In the film, "As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home."

When previously talking about the film, Anya Taylor-Joy says that Miller considers this next film in the franchise an epic, and she explained why, saying: "The main thing that George and I spoke about was that Fury Road is a road movie. You know, it takes place over, I think, three days: getting somewhere, and then turning around, and coming back. And this is an epic. This takes place over a long period of time, and you kind of get to know [Furiosa] better in that way. I love that character so much. That whole experience was mind-boggling, and George is the best. I hope that [people] enjoy it."

The rest of the cast includes Tom Burke, Angus Sampson, Nathan Jones, Daniel Webber, Lachy Hulme, and Quaden Bayles.

Furisona: A Mad Max Saga is scheduled to hit theaters on May 24, 2024.
