Chris Hemsworth Would Love Make More THOR Films and Is Energized by the Possibilities

We don’t really know what the future of Thor is in the MCU. We assume that he’s going to play a big part in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 because he ended up with the Guardians at the end of Avengers: Endgame. That is sure to make a wild and fun adventure!

What we don’t know is if Marvel Studios is planning another solo Thor movie. It would certainly be interesting to see what Chris Hemsworth and Taika Waititi would do with a fourth film. It’d be cool to see him eventually team with with Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) again for some kind of crazy journey across the cosmos.

While talking to Variety, Hemsworth said that he would love to make more film and says that he’s energized by the possibilities:

“I’d still love to do more, to be honest. And I don’t know what the plan is. I feel like we’ve opened up such a different character. I feel more energized for the possibility of where it could go... But I’ll use that in other places and other characters if it’s the end here.”

When we caught up with Thor in Endgame, we saw that he was dealing with some very heavy emotional and mental issues after feeling like he failed to stop Thanos. When talking about playing a different and changed version of the character in Endgame, the actor said:

"I like that anything goes. You're not locked into expectations. I enjoyed that version of Thor. It was so different than any other way I played the character. And then it took on a life of its own.

He went on to share what it was like for him to wear that Big Lebowski belly of his:

“People just kept coming up and cuddling me like a big bear or rubbing my belly like I was pregnant. Or trying to sit on my lap like I was Santa Claus. You get a lot of affection. I felt like an old man, an old grandpa, with a bunch of kids around. And then you get sick of it when people come up and grab your belly. ‘Don’t grab me like that!’ I know how my wife felt when strangers would come up and rub her belly.”
