Chris Pratt Confirms James Gunn's "Off The Chain" Script For GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 Will Be Used

While we know that Marvel Studios will make Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 one day, it’s not going to happen in the timeframe that they originally planned. The studio still hasn’t been able to find anyone to direct the film, but it’s been said a few times already that Gunn’s script will be used when the project does move forward.

Chris Pratt reconfirmed the news of Gunn’s script, and in the process says that it’s “off the chain.” While talking to MTV News, Pratt said:

“It’s off the chain, it’s so good… I love James and I’m loyal to James… [and] we’re gonna deliver the movie. We’re gonna give the fans what they deserve…It’s in the nature of the Guardians of the Galaxy to get the job done, and that’s what we’re going to do.”

Unfortunately, Gunn will not be back to direct. He has moved on to DC where he will write and direct The Suicide Squad, which is the perfect project for him and I can’t wait to see what he does with it.

The funny thing is, if James Gunn is worthy to have his script used, why isn’t he worthy to direct? I’m not complaining, I’m just say that there’s a little hypocrisy there on Disney’s part. But, what can I say… Hollywood is weird.

The question remains, though… who will direct Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3? The two people I’d like to see take it on are Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok) and Travis Knight (Bumblebee), who have both said they won’t do it. So, who will it be? Who do you want it to be?
