Chris Pratt Rumored to Be in Talks With His GOTG Director James Gunn About an Undisclosed DC Role

Chris Pratt has had his hands in a lot of cool franchises over the years, with the biggest being director James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy at Marvel. They made three films, with the stars also appearing in the last two Avengers movies, and Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas Special.

The characters in those films were very beloved, and the final film put a nice bow on the trilogy, with a wink of a future revival someday, but with the understanding that James Gunn was heading over to DC Studios to run the film department with Peter Safran.

But as many of us know, Gunn has made a lot of superhero movies between Marvel and DC, and he loves to recycle his favorite actors into new characters. So it makes sense that Pratt is now rumored to be in talks with Gunn about an undisclosed DC role.

According to industry scooper MTTSH (via CBM), Pratt has spoken to Gunn about an undisclosed role, but we can’t say which project this would be for, or if it’s even true.

Pratt was asked about the possibility of joining the rebooted DC Universe in a recent interview, where he told TMZ:

"Well, there’s always a chance. But of course, I wouldn’t be able to spoil it here on the sidewalk with you. I could, but I better not. Man, I just have to leave that to the fans and people like James to decide. I'm not exactly sure. I'm truly not sure.”

"Yes, of course, if I can fit it into my schedule and it made sense," he added when asked if he was interested in a DCU role.

Gunn was also asked about his GOTG cast members potentially jumping ship to the DCU, and he pretty much confirmed that at least one of his former collaborators is already on board. When a fan asked on Threads, “If you had the chance to cast any of the GOTG stars in the DC Universe, who would you cast them as?”, and Gunn responded, “Well that would be a spoiler wouldn’t it?”

We will just have to wait and see how all this shakes out! I have a lot of faith in James Gunn after watching the superhero movies he has made, and I can’t wait to see his plans become realities.

If Pratt does come over to DC, who would you like to see him play?
