Chris Pratt Talks Jurassic World 3 Script, Calling It 'Pretty Epic'

Chris Pratt recently talked to MTV News’ Josh Horowitz in an interview at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., where Pratt used to work before hitting it big in Hollywood. The whole interview is fun and gets Pratt talking about his personal and professional life, including living in his car, being discovered while working at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., his recently released The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, and his upcoming films, Avengers: Endgame, Jurassic World 3, and Guardians of the Galaxy 3. While all three of his upcoming movies are big franchises with tightly sealed details, Pratt gave his opinion on the latest Jurassic script that he read for the third film. Here’s what he had to say:

I can’t say anything, but I can tell you when I heard the pitch, I was blown away. I can’t believe that we’re going to make that movie, and I can’t believe they found a way to deliver on the promise of the end of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Like, ‘Wait what? The island has blown up. The animals are out, we can’t put them back in the box. What are we going to do? How are not only these dinosaurs but this technology moving forward going to affect the planet?’ We jump forward, and it’s like, ‘Oh! Oh, right! Oh, damn!’…it’s going to be pretty epic. ... You will not be disappointed.

That sounds pretty exciting! I know it’s his job to hype these films, but it sounds like he is genuinely excited and surprised by the script and the ambition of the movie-makers. The second film left us with a total cliffhanger and an exciting place to go from there, so it’s awesome to hear they aren’t holding back for this next one! The whole interview is really fun and gives some good (slightly vague) info. I cued it up to the 12:25 mark when he starts to talk Jurassic World, but watch the whole thing when you get a chance.

Are you excited for Jurassic World 3? It’s expected to hit theatres in 2021.
