Chris Pratt Will Play a Bootlegger in THE REAL MCCOY
Universal Pictures has acquired the rights to an action-adventure film pitch called The Real McCoy, which will star Chris Pratt.
The pitch comes from Bill Dubuque (The Judge) and according to Variety the story revolves around the famous bootlegger named William “Bill” McCoy, “whose life may have inspired the phrase ‘the real McCoy,’ referring to the purity of his liquor.”
Pratt is a hot commodity right now, and I’m sure he’s getting a ton of offers, so the fact that this is one of the projects that he has attached himself to is saying a lot.
Universal is a big fan of Pratt as he is also starring in their Jurassic World film, along with the film adaptation of the comic book Cowboy Ninja Viking. There are no other details on the film at this time but, as always, we’ll keep you updated.
