Chris Rock Set To Direct a Remake of Mads Mikkelsen's ANOTHER ROUND

Chris Rock has signed on to develop and direct a remake of Mads Mikkelsen’s 2020 film Another Round. The movie is a dark comedy that was directed by Thomas Vinterberg, and it won an Oscar for Best International Feature Film.

In the story, four high school teachers start an experiment and drink alcohol throughout the workday to see how it affects their social and professional lives.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson are producing the film for Appian Way, and Brad Weston and Collin Creighton are producing for Makeready. The script for the remake was written by Stuart Bloomberg and another writer will take a pass on with Rock. It was previously reported that DiCaprio may star in the film as well.

Rock is said to be making directing a priority and is also working on a film adaptation of King: A Life, a book written by Jonathan Eig book about Martin Luther King Jr., along with an untitled script Rock is writing. Rock previously directed Top Five, as well as Head of State and I Think I Love My Wife.
