Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini's DEAD TO ME Netflix Series Renewed for Third and Final Season
Netflix has announced that they are renewing their original series Dead to Me for a third and final season. The dramatic comedy stars Christina Applegate, Linda Cardellini, and James Marsden in a story full of twists and turns, secrets and lies. The series began with Applegate’s character Jen, in the wake of her husband’s death. She is attending grief counseling and trying to solve her husband’s mysterious murder, where he was hit by a car and left for dead while jogging.
In the two seasons of the series so far, the characters have developed and been on a wild ride, which I’m excited to see through. While it’s a bummer that the series will end, I’m glad that at least it’s a planned end, and series creator Liz Feldman will be able to complete the story and bring the characters some peace.
Feldman signed a multi-year deal with Netflix this week that will allow her to finish Dead to Me, then develop new original series and other projects for the streamer.
Feldman said in a statement:

Telling a story sprung from grief and loss has stretched me as an artist and healed me as a human. I’ll be forever indebted to my partners in crime, my friends for life, Christina and Linda, and our brilliantly talented writers, cast and crew. I am beyond grateful to Netflix for supporting Dead To Me from day one, and I’m thrilled to continue our collaboration.”
Season 2 ended in a crazy way, and I can’t wait to see what happens to these incredible characters next. After the year Jen and Judy have had, I hope Season 3 gives them the life they both deserve, and we can see them find some happiness in the finale. Are you excited to see Dead to Me Season 3?
