A MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - DEAD RECKONING Part 2 Casting Announcement Is Hidden in Plain Sight in Part 1
Mission: Impossible franchise director Christopher McQuarrie is getting fans pumped up for the next installment of his Tom Cruise action flick, Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part 2. Part 1 hit theaters this summer to rave reviews, and McQuarrie is releasing the second half next year. While we wait, fans are having fun dissecting the Easter eggs from the first movie, and McQuarrie is having a laugh at the fact that he placed one major gem hidden in plain sight, and no one has figured it out yet!
In the recently-released Empire podcast spoiler special dedicated to all things "Dead Reckoning," (via /Film), McQuarrie teased:
"People still haven't picked up on it. It's right there in front of you. You're so busy truffling for Easter eggs ... there's one right on-screen, right in front of you, and maybe two people have picked up on it. And it's a f***ing casting announcement and it's in the movie. In the movie, right on-screen!"
This is pretty wild! It sounds like he’s saying it’s something fairly obvious, but it’s just so strange that no one has pointed it out yet. Maybe once Dead Reckoning Part One is available to rent and own on Digital on Tuesday, October 10th, fans will be able to watch it frame for frame and get to the bottom of this mystery!
