Christopher McQuarrie Wants to Make a Young Lando Calrissian STAR WARS Film
The galaxy’s the limit when it comes to the Star Wars films that Lucasfilm is developing with Disney. These two studios can take anything from this universe and do whatever the hell they wan’t with it. As of right now, we’ve got a new trilogy, Rogue One, a Han Solo film, and possible films involving Boba Fett, Yoda, and Obi-Wan.
Writer and director Christopher McQuarrie (Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, Jack Reacher) was recently asked by a fan on Twitter when he plans to write a Star Wars film, and the filmmaker had an awesome response:
When they give me @michaelb4jordan and the Millennium Falcon. #YoungLando https://t.co/vyqpzJ7WLS

A standalone Star Wars film centered around a young version of Lando Calrissian played by Michael B. Jordan before he lost the Millennium Falcon to Han Solo?! Umm, yes please! I would absolutely love to see this happen, and I’m sure a lot of other Star Wars fans would as well. After seeing this idea put out in the universe, I’m surprised that Lucasfilm hasn’t already announced it yet.
I’m sure Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy will get wind of this, and when she does, hopefully, somewhere down the line it’s a project that she actually wants to push forward.
What do you think of the young Lando film idea?
UPDATE: A previous version of this article claimed that Billy Dee Williams played Apollo Creed in the Rocky franchise. Boy was that dumb. Our apologies to the great Carl Weathers.
