Christopher Nolan and Stephen King Offer Their Reviews of DUNE

Denis Villeneuve’s film adaptation of Frank Herbert’s Dune has proved to be a big hit with fans and audiences. Now creative talents such as director Christopher Nolan and writer Stephen King have shared their thoughts on the movie.

While speaking with Villeneuve on The Director’s Cut podcast, Nolan said that the sci-fi epic is "one of the most seamless marriages of live action photography and computer-generated visual effects that I’ve seen." He went on to explain that "It’s very, very compelling at every turn."

The filmmaker didn’t stop there though, he went on to say, "Your entire team did an absolute incredible job. I think it’s an incredible piece of work. I’ve had the luxury of seeing it a couple times now, and each time I watch it I discover new things, new details to the world. The way in which it’s made is for the big screen. It’s a real pleasure and a real gift to film fans everywhere."

I couldn’t agree with him more! Then there’s Stephen King, who is one of my favorite authors, and he said, “Really long but really good. Hard to believe we can do all these amazing special effects and still not achieve world peace.”

Yeah, it was a long movie, but I think most people were expecting that. There’s a lot of story to tell here, and Villeneuve did an awesome job telling it!
