Christopher Nolan Casts Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, and Benny Safdie in OPPENHEIMER

Christopher Nolan continues to fill his cast for the upcoming World War II drama Oppenheimer with big A-list stars. Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody), Florence Pugh (Black Widow) and Benny Safdie (Uncut Gems). They join the previously cast Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Cillian Murphy, and Emily Blunt.

The movie centers on J. Robert Oppenheimer, the scientist who ran the Manhattan Project that led to the invention of the atomic bomb. The film has been described as an “epic thriller that thrusts audiences into the pulse-pounding paradox of the enigmatic man who must risk destroying the world in order to save it.”

Murphy is playing Oppenheimer, and Blunt will play his wife. There are not details on who any of the actors are playing, but Nolan is sure putting together an incredibly impressive cast.

The film has a $100 million budget, and with adult dramas not doing too well at the box office these days, insiders are saying that this film is a big financial risk for Nolan and Universal Pictures.

Regardless, I’m a fan of Nolan and the films that he makes and I’m looking forward to seeing how this movie turns out!
