Christopher Nolan Casts James D’Arcy and Michael Angarano in OPPENHEIMER
I’m convinced that Christopher Nolan is never going to stop casting his next film project Oppenheimer. He’ll still be announcing casting after the movie is released in theaters!
James D’Arcy (Agent Carter, Dunkirk) and Michael Angarano (This Is Us) are the most recent actors to jump on board the film! They join Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, Jack Quaid, Benny Safdie, Dane DeHaan, Josh Hartnett, Kenneth Branagh, Jason Clarke, Alden Ehrenreich, and David Krumholtz.
The movie centers on J. Robert Oppenheimer, the scientist who ran the Manhattan Project that led to the invention of the atomic bomb during World War II. The film has been described as an “epic thriller that thrusts audiences into the pulse-pounding paradox of the enigmatic man who must risk destroying the world in order to save it.”
Murphy is playing Oppenheimer, and Blunt will play his wife, but there’s no information on who anyone else will be playing in the thriller.
The film is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Kai Bird and the late Martin J. Sherwin.
The film is set to be released in theaters on July 21, 2023.
