Christopher Nolan's Next Film TENET Reportedly Has a Huge Budget
Director Christopher Nolan has made a practice of working on whatever budget he has been given. One of his earliest accomplishments was Memento, which he made for $9 million, and his budgets and films have just continued to grow since then as he has proved to produce one box office smash after another.
One of the largest scale films of his that’s also one of my favorites is Inception, which he made on $160 million, but that wasn’t even his largest budget. The Dark Knight Rises has that title with a $250 million budget.
This next film is looking to be another giant undertaking with a $225 million budget, over double that of his last film, Dunkirk, and that movie was incredibly large in scale! We don’t know much about the upcoming film Tenet yet, as Nolan has really been keeping details under wraps, but we know it will be “an action epic revolving around the world of international espionage.”
The film stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Michael Caine, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Debicki, Kenneth Branagh, Clemence Poesy, and Dimple Kapadia. Tenet is set to be released in theaters on July 17, 2020.
