Christopher Nolan's THE DARK KNIGHT Returning To Theaters For 10th Anniversary

Many Batman fans still regard Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight as the best Batman movie of all time. And soon the second installment of the Batman Trilogy starring Christian Bale will celebrate its 10th anniversary. And if you live in the northeastern United States you will get to see the Joker and Batman do battle once again on the big screen. Theater chain Showcase Cinemas will screen The Dark Knight on February 8th and 11th.

The movie was released back in July 2008 as the follow-up to 2005's Batman Begins. Bale starred as Batman and was joined by cast members Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, and Morgan Freeman.

Maggie Gyllenhaal was brought on to replace Katie Holmes in the role of Rachel Dawes and Aaron Eckhart played Harvey Dent/Two Face. But the most talked about role of the entire film was the brilliant performance by the late Heath Ledger as The Joker. Sadly, Ledger died before the movie was even released. And he famously won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance.

For those of you that don't live in the Northeastern U.S. you can always watch The Dark Knight at home on BluRay or the newly released 4K Ultra HD release that was part of a Christopher Nolan 4K Collection in 2017.
