CHUCK E. CHEESE Is Planning a Live-Action Movie and and an Animated Series

Chuck E. Cheese is looking to expand into the movie and TV business! The company has announced that they have plans for a live-action movie and an animated series.

CEO David McKillips recently discussed these plans in an interview with Business Insider. The company was forced to apply for bankruptcy when the coronavirus pandemic hit, and they have had to close several of their locations. The creation of the Chuck E. Cheese entertainment division is seen as a creative way for them to keep the company in business.

McKillips said, "Ideally we would love to have Chuck E. Cheese in animation and possibly one day a movie feature as well." He’s confident that the Chuck E. Cheese character's popularity will be a hit with kids. "For our demographic of three to eight year olds, he is one of the most popular characters in the world.”

There are no other details revealed regarding their plans for these projects, but if handled right, yeah… this could be somewhat successful for them.

It’s been sad to see so many businesses forced to close down over the past few months; if Chuck E. Cheese’s entertainment company can get these projects off the ground it might actually save them.
