CHUCKY Creator Don Mancini Teases Crossover with M3GAN

Fans seem to be enjoying the third season of Chucky and there have been some aspects of this latest chapter of the story that were a lot of fun, like how Chucky ended up at the legendary Amityville house. That was a cool unexpected surprise.

Chucky creator Don Mancini is now teasing the possibility of the red-headed killer facing off with the AI robot doll M3GAN.

During an interview with Variety, Mancini talked about the current season of the horror series and he offered insight on how Chucky sees his place in the world and how his relevance is threatened by other evil dolls like Annabelle from The Conjuring Universe and, of course, M3GAN. He explained:

“He has to deal with that place for himself in the pop culture world and that’s how we really touch the ground with Chucky. We give this off-the-wall character a crisis that has the sting of real pain and real life. But it just makes him angrier, and you know what happens when Chucky gets angry.”

When it comes to Chucky and M3GAN, they’ve previously engaged with each other on social media during the promotion of M3GAN. This was executed to make sure that fans knew the two killer doll characters are both under the same NBC Universal umbrella. Because of this, Mancini was asked about the two possibly facing off at some point in the future, and his response was, “I would say, stay tuned.”
