Chucky Goes Berserk in New Promo for CHILD'S PLAY That Focuses on the Dangers of A.I.
I’ve been seeing more and more people who are actually getting excited about the Child’s Play reboot. When it was first announced that the horror franchise was getting rebooted a lot of fans hated the idea, but that tone has changed since the trailers and promo spots have been released.
The latest promo comes in the form of a featurette that focuses on the dangers of artificial intelligence and how through that technology, Chucky goes haywire and becomes more and more evil over the course of the story. He is also given more ways to terrorize and kill through A.I.
The film stars Aubry Plaza as a mother who gives her son, Andy, a toy Buddy doll, which ends up wanting to go on a murderous killing spree. But, Andy and his group of friends will face off with the technologically-advanced 'Buddy doll’ and try to stop him.
The movie was directed by Lars Klevberg, who directed the horror movie Polaroid. As for the script, it was written by Tyler Burton Smith (Kung Fury 2). It producers David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith are producing.
Child’s Play will be released in theaters on June 21st.
