Cillian Murphy in Talks To Join A QUIET PLACE Sequel

For those of you who are fans of A Quiet Place and Peaky Blinders, all of your dreams are about to come true. Variety recently announced that Cillian Murphy, star of Peaky Blinders, is in talks to join Emily Blunt in the A Quiet Place sequel.

There really isn’t any information on what Murphy’s role will be, however, as fan of Murphy’s I am sure that he will be great in whatever role he takes. John Krasinski will be back to write and direct the sequel.

About a month ago Krasinski gave a little look into what we can expect in the follow up to last years hit. Here is what he had to say:

"The idea for it is pretty simple. I’m writing now—I don’t have it fleshed out—but the thought that occurred to me, that really excited me about it, was that most sequels are about the return of a hero or a villain. You take this character that people loved once and you bring them back, and you have to create a new world around them. We have the exact opposite setup. We have the world, and you can drop whoever you want into that world and everyone feels connected to it. The reason I decided to go back, in the end, was this world is so rich, and it’s so much fun to explore. There are so many different things to see now. Everyone else in the world is experiencing this, so I’m curious to see what that looks like from another perspective."

It will be refreshing to see that the characters will have to evolve with the world, not other way around. I can’t wait to see how Murphy will fit into this world. Let me know if you think this is great casting, or if I’m totally off.
