Cillian Murphy Joins Christopher Nolan's DUNKIRK
Christopher Nolan’s new movie Dunkirk is getting a well-rounded cast. I am always excited to see what Nolan is going to do next and this project sounds like it will be a good one. Things are only going to get better now that Nolan alum Cillian Murphy has been added to the cast. Murphy will be rounding out an already stellar cast consisting of Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branaugh, Mark Rylance, and two newcomers to the movie world, Fionn Whitehead and some kid named Harry Styles (yes, really).
Nolan's film "chronicles the WWII evacuation of Dunkirk during Operation Dynamo, the British military operation that saved the lives of 330,000 Allied soldiers who were surrounded by German forces."
The whole evacuation lasted many days and was much more dramatic than this little blurb lets on. I am looking forward to seeing what Nolan does with this story. I think he is one of the few writer/directors out there that can do this piece of world history justice. Nolan has also brought in composer Hans Zimmer and Interstellar cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema to help him bring this story to life.
Dunkirk will be released on July 21, 2017.
