Claire Foy Will Star in The Psychological Horror Film DUST

Claire Foy (The Crown, The Girl in The Spider’s Web) is set to star in an upcoming psychological horror thriller titled Dust.

The story is set in 1930’s Oklahoma around a self-contained remote farmhouse. Foy will take on the role of a young mother who, when “trapped by increasingly stifling dust storms, she takes extreme measures to protect her family while haunted by her past.”

This sounds like an interesting story that could make for a great film. Dust is a hot project being shopped around at this week’s virtual Cannes market. The movie will have a small number of starring roles and a minimalist aesthetic.

The movie will be helmed by Will Joines and Karrie Crouse, who previously collaborated on the critically acclaimed short film Pilgrim Song. Crouse also wrote the script, he also worked on HBO’s Westworld.

Lucas Joaquin (Blow The Man Down, Love Is Strange) of Secret Engine is producing along with Oscar nominee Alix Madigan (Winter’s Bone) of Mad Dog Films.
