Claymation Video Imagines How Gaston and LeFou Met Before BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

How did Gaston, the arrogant blowhard from Beauty and the Beast, originally meet up with his pipsqueak sidekick LeFou? According to 12-year-old writer Robert Nelson, it went a little something like this:

Not bad for a 12-year-old! THR says Nelson was part of an art project between Disney, a collective called Tongal, and a group called Young Storytellers that teamed creative young artists with mentors to create short films inspired by Beauty and the Beast. LeFouston was Robert's entry, which was animated by Tongal creator Kevin Ulrich and has music by Trevor Gomes. It's always cool to see kids have a chance to show off their creativity, so props to Disney and these other organizations for giving them an opportunity. You can read more about the initiative at THR.
