Clint Eastwood Developing Movie About Captured Aid Worker Jessica Buchanan
Clint Eastwood is developing a movie based on the true events of rescued aid worker Jessica Buchanan, according to THR. Buchanan was an American doing aide work in Somalia when she was captured by pirates and held for ransom. She was saved 93 days later when the American government stepped in and rescued her using the help of Seal Team 6.
Brian Helgeland, who worked with Eastwood on Mystic River, will be writing the script. The script itself will be based on the memoir from the book "Impossible Odds," which was written in part by Buchanan and her husband.
Who would think that at the age of 86, Clint Eastwood would be just as active in Hollywood as he was in his prime!? You have to respect the guy's work ethic.
