Clint Eastwood Will Appear in a New Wildlife Documentary WHY ON EARTH
At 92 years old Clint Eastwood is still keeping himself busy making movies. This guy has got the fire, and he obviously loves making movies. It’s just been announced that he is set to appear in a new wildlife documentary titled Why on Earth, which is being developed by conservationist filmmaker Katie Cleary.
The new documentary will focus on “nature, wild animals and the relationship between humans, animals and plant life.” Cleary told Fox News in a recent interview: "We're showing what's happening to elephants, rhinos in Africa, the palm oil epidemic in Indonesia and Borneo and Sumatra, and how it's affecting the orangutans.”
She goes on to say: "Really, the connection between humans and animals and in our natural environment and in trying to spread compassion and awareness about these issues before it's too late before we lose a lot of these species."
Eastwood is going to be narrating the doc, and he and the director bonded over their love for animals. When talking about working with the legendary actor, she said: "He takes us through the whole process. He's incredible. He's a huge animal lover. So, this film really just brings out an amazing side to him that maybe a lot of people haven't seen, which is that compassionate side, especially for animals."
Eastwood ended up getting involved with the project through his daughter, Alison Eastwood’s, friendship with the director. They filmed part of the doc up at Eastwood’s Ranch. The director went on to say: "We went up, and we filmed at his ranch. It was amazing just seeing his stomping grounds and, you know, just he's surrounded in nature, and he's just an amazing person. He just he has such a big heart. It was great to be able to sit with him. You can see how passionate he is about wildlife and his own animals."
If you’re an animal lover yourself, it sounds like Why on Earth is going to be the doc for you!
