Clip For Glen Keane's Animated Film OVER THE MOON - Meet Chin and His Pet Frog Croak
An amusing clip has been shared for Netflix’s imaginative animated adventure film Over The Moon. The film comes from animation legend Glen Keane (Dear Basketball, Duet, Tarzan, Beauty and the Beast) and co-director John Kahrs (Paperman).
The story follows a 13-year-old girl named Fei Fei (Cathy Ang) and she is going through an adjustment period in life as her father is in a new relationship. In this clip, Fei Fei meets her potential step-brother Chin, who introduces himself and his pet frog Croak.
The movie goes on to follow Fin Fin’s Journey as she builds a rocket to travel to the moon in hopes of meeting the legendary Moon Goddess that she was told about when she was a little kid. Here’s the full synopsis:
Fueled with determination and a passion for science, a bright young girl builds a rocket ship to the moon to prove the existence of a legendary Moon Goddess. There she ends up on an unexpected quest, and discovers a whimsical land of fantastical creatures. Over the Moon is an exhilarating musical adventure about moving forward, embracing the unexpected, and the power of imagination.
The film was made in partnership with Pearl Studio in Shanghai, and it will feature music by Christopher Curtis, Marjorie Duffield, and Helen Park (KPOP); with a score by Oscar-winning composer Steven Price.
The voice cast includes Phillipa Soo, Ken Jeong, John Cho, Ruthie Ann Miles, Sandra Oh, Robert G. Chiu, Margaret Cho, and Kimiko Glenn.
Netflix will release Keane's Over the Moon streaming exclusively sometime in fall 2020. I’m looking forward to watching this movie! It looks like it’ll tell a great story!
