If You Enjoy Deadpan Comedies, Watch This Clip From TOKYO COWBOY
Tokyo Cowboy is a little indie film that has just started making the film festival rounds and it’s set to make its world premiere as the Centerpiece Gala Screening at Tallgrass Film Festival. In anticipation of that premiere, a clip has been released that offers a first look at the movie.
Tokyo Cowboy comes from director and producer Marc Marriott and is produced by Brigham Taylor (The Jungle Book, Christopher Robin, Tomorrowland). In full disclosure, the three partners of GeekTyrant, including myself are executive producers of the film, and we’re really excited that it’s making the festival rounds right now! It really is a wonderful little film that we think audiences will enjoy.
In the movie, “Brash businessman Hideki arrives in Montana having convinced his Tokyo bosses he can turn a profitless US cattle ranch into a premiere-performing asset. Yet when his Hardee’s-burger-loving Japanese Wagyu-beef expert fails him, Hideki is poised to misfire magnificently unless he identifies a missing element that’s key to the transformation… himself.”
Tokyo Cowboy was written by Dave Boyle and Ayako Fujitani. The cast includes Arata Iura, Goya Robles, Ayako Fujitani, Robin Weigert, and Jun Kunimura.
The movie is set to premiere at the Tallgrass Film Festival on October 7th, followed by showings at the Heartland International Film Festival, Montana Film Festival, Hawaii International Film Festival, Newport Beach Film Festival, and Ojai Film Festival.
If you’re attending any of these festivals, make sure to check out Tokyo Cowboy!
