Clip From the ROBOCOP Documentary Series Focuses on Film's Epic Success

This is such a great movie documentary and with the final episode of the series dropping today, here’s a clip for you to watch that focuses on the epic success of the film and what was being said about it in the media when it was released.

The series features interviews with “Peter Weller, Nancy Allen, Ronny Cox, Ray Wise, and Kurtwood Smith, director Paul Verhoeven, writers Edward Neumeier and Michael Miner, special effects legend Phil Tippett, and more, RoboDoc offers an in-depth look at the making and impact of the trailblazing 1987 dystopian action classic.” The series offer a lot of great and interesting insight.

Episode three, “Blood, Sweat & Steel,” streams on September 12. The resilient cast and crew relive the golden era of hands-on, practical filmmaking in the 1980s.

Episode four, “Murphy & The Machine,” streams on September 19. A cinematic icon is unleashed to the world, creating an indelible legacy with lasting memories for those involved in its production.

RoboDoc: The Creation of RoboCop is co-directed by Chris Griffiths and Eastwood Allen and produced by Gary Smart. They previously developed Hollywood Dreams & Nightmares: The Robert Englund Story, Pennywise: The Story of IT, and You’re So Cool, Brewster: The Story of Fright Night.

Allen said in a statement: “We’ve crafted something together to incorporate visuals and sound in an effort to immerse viewers into the world of ’80s filmmaking and offer something completely unique to the ‘making of’ format.”
