Close Up Look at Princess Leia's Lightsaber in STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER and Details
Thanks to io9, we have shared our best look yet at the lightsaber that a more youthful Princess Leia wielded in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. There are also some new details that were shared.
This all comes from an upcoming book, Star Wars: The Lightsaber Collection by Daniel Wallace, which dives into and explores the lightsabers of Star Wars. It’s described as “comprehensive” and will feature all the sabers from the movies, animation, and even ones from Star Wars games, comics, novels, and more.
One of the coolest things that we learned from The Rise of Skywalker, was that Leia actually had her own lightsaber. We got a brief glimpse of it in the film when Luke offers it to Rey, but this is a much better look, where we can actually see the details of it.
The lightsaber is described as having “Elegant symmetry and silver and gold hues that evoke Leia’s regal upbringing on Alderaan.”
