CLOUT Looks to Be a Chill Family Game Where You Race to Be the Greatest Influencer
I’ve got a simple card game for you to check out today. Clout is a strategic card game from Plop Games over on Kickstarter that sees you and your friends trying to become the biggest influencer. The premise is simple. The deck will have a variety of cards for different social networks like Instagram and Facebook and you’re trying to play the cards 1-5 in order for one of those platforms. Of course, to make things difficult there are ways for your opponents to mess with you, but there are also cards to help you out. The gameplay sounds familiar, but the premise is one that many will be able to relate to.
Clout touts itself as being family friendly, but if you pledge enough on the Kickstarter, you can get a NSFW expansion pack which sounds like it takes it to a PG-13 level. The base game starts at $25 and supports up to four players. For $10 more, you’ll be able to get up to 5 people playing Clout with you (6 players total) and you’ll be able to vote for what the additional 2 social networks will be. This has potential to be a nice, chill family game.
