COBRA KAI Creators' New Las Vegas-Set Action Comedy OBLITERATED Picked Up by Netflix

Cobra Kai creators Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald have a new project on the horizon at Netflix with the Las Vegas-set action comedy series Obliterated. The series was first picked up by TBS in 2019, but amid pandemic setbacks and rearranging, the show came up for grabs, and has now landed at the home of the trio’s first hit show.

Hurwitz, Schlossberg and Heald will serve as executive producers and showrunners on the series, which is described as a “‘high octane’ action-comedy that tells the story of an elite special forces team who thwarts a deadly threat to Las Vegas. After their celebratory party, filled with booze, drugs and sex, the team discovers that the bomb they deactivated was a fake. The now intoxicated team has to fight through their impairments, overcome their personal issues, find the real bomb, and save the world.”

Casting is underway with plans for production to start up this summer. I have a lot of faith in these guys, as Cobra Kai is one of my favorite shows. I look forward to their next project.
