Colin Farrell and Paula Patton Wanted for WARCRAFT

Legendary Pictures and Duncan Jones are hard at working bringing the World of Warcraft to life on the big screen. They are currently in the process of casting the film, and according to Deadline, Colin Farrell has been offered a lead role, and Paula Patton (Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol) is in negotiations. Nothing is confirmed right now with the casting, but this gives us an idea of the direction they are heading.

Jones will start shooting on January 13th 2014, and if it ends up looking like anything from the test footage shown at Comic-Con, it's going to be an amazing film.

There's also no official information on the story for the film, but it was previously rumored that the "film’s story is not an adaptation of World of Warcraft, and instead takes place around the events of the first couple of Warcraft games, ‘real time strategy’ classics of the mid-90s." I can't wait to see what Jones does with this franchise. If Farrell and Patton end up being officially cast in the film you wont hear any complaints from me. I think they'll be great.
