Colin Farrell Has Been Cast in Guy Ritchie's Crime Movie TOFF GUYS
Director Guy Ritchie has been putting together an impressive cast for his upcoming film Toff Goys. Colin Ferrell has just signed on for the film and he will join the previously cast Matthew McConaughey, Kate Beckinsale, Henry Golding, Hugh Grant and Jeremy Strong.
McConaughey plays a businessman in the story “who has built a weed empire and now wants out; the other characters are either complications or helpful to his scheme. Dockery is the man’s wife, while Golding will play a Vietnamese gangster. Grant is a photographer who snaps scandalous photos of our protagonist and schemes to blackmail him.”
I like Ferrell and this is sure to be a great project for him. He will play a character named Coach, “a man who trains MMA fighters.”
The film is said to explore the “collision between European ‘old money’ and the modern marijuana industry. It follows a British drug lord attempting to cash out on his highly profitable empire by selling it off to a dynasty of Oklahoma billionaires.”
It’s also been reported that the the movie will be in the vein of the “high-energy British gangster pics with A-list talent that helped launch Ritchie’s career, like Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch.”
As a long-time fan of those two films, I’m excited to see how Toff Guys turns out.
