Colin Ferrell Reveals He Wore a "Penguin Pecker" While Playing The Penguin - "I Was Fully Anatomically Correct"

So, uh… Colin Farrell revealed something wild about playing The Penguin in DC’s upcoming series. He and the creative team went to great lengths to make sure that Oz Cobb was anatomically accurate as possible, so Ferrell wore a “penguin pecker.”

Now, you don’t see Ferrell’s “penguin pecker” in the series, but there is a nude scene of Oz in the first episode. Farrell told CinemaBlend in an interview that his character was “anatomically correct.” When he was joking with make-up artist Michael Marino, he confirmed:

“There was no weakness in my Penguin pecker that you designed. Which we never filmed. But it was there, man! It was there. I was fully anatomically correct.”

I’m glad that we’ll never have to see the “penguin pecker.” But, it’s so funny to learn that they actually went there when designing the costume.

The eight-episode Penguin series has been described as a “Scarface-like” series that will see the rise of the villain in the criminal underworld of Gotham City. It was also confirmed that the series will lead directly into the events of The Batman: Part Two.

The series stars Cristin Milioti, who plays female lead Sofia Falcone, and Rhenzy Feliz, who is playing a teen whom The Penguin befriends and makes his driver. The rest of the cast includes Michael Kelly (House of Cards, Jack Ryan), Shohreh Aghdashloo (The Expanse, House Of Sand And Fog) and Deirdre O’Connell (Outer Range) have joined the DC series.

Lauren LeFranc will serve as writer and showrunner on the series, which is set to premiere on September 19th.
