Fans are awaiting the final chapter in the Jurassic World trilogy, which is set to hit theatres next summer in 2022. These films have been really fun so far and are a great addition to the Jurassic Park films. Fans are especially excited for Jurassic World: Dominion as it is bringing back the original film’s stars, Laura Dern, Sam Neill, and Jeff Goldblum.

In a recent interview, director Colin Trevorrow talked to THR about working with the returning casts of both Jurassic franchises, saying that he was staying in the same hotel with actors Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Bryce Dallas Howard during shooting, and he said of the experience:

"These people have so many attributes, so many things about themselves that are just like Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler and Claire Dearing. It didn't end at the end of the shoot day. It didn't end on the weekend."

Trevorrow wrote Dominion with writing partner Derek Connolly and franchise newcomer Emily Carmichael. He also invited his cast to provide input on their lines and character development:

"We would write dialogue together and find ways to make sure that all of these actors, who are so deeply associated with this specific set of characters that they've played, not just felt their characters were respected but dug into who they are now.

"It is a true ensemble of all of these people, even if they may not be side by side the whole time. There is just something really exhilarating, just from a generational standpoint, to be able to put all of these characters into a situation where they are again having to not just survive together, but make sure that we all don't go extinct just like the dinosaurs."

It’s cool that Trevorrow gave them the room to play with their characters, and that the actors have such a history playing them. I’m sure it will come across onscreen, and I am so excited to see the end result. Jurassic World: Dominion it set to hit theaters on June 10, 2022. Are you looking forward to seeing it on the big screen?
