Colin Woodell Will Play Young Winston Scott in the JOHN WICK Spinoff Series THE CONTINENTAL
Colin Woodell (The Flight Attendant) is set to take on the lead role in Starz’s upcoming John Wick spinoff prequel series The Continental. He will take on the role of a young Winston Scott, who is played in the film by Ian McShane. Woodell actually kinda looks like he could pass as a young McShane.
Woodell also joins the previously cast Mel Gibson, who will take on the role of a character named Cormac, but we still don’t know much about this new character.
Also joining the series are Hubert Point-Du Jour (The Good Lord Bird), Jessica Allain (The Laundromat), Mishel Prada (Vida), Nhung Kate (The Housemaid), and Ben Robson (Animal Kingdom). Point-Du Jour will play Miles; Allain portrays Lou; Prada will play KD, Kate is Yen and Robson plays Frankie.
The story will be told through the eyes and actions of Winston Scott, “who is dragged into the Hell-scape of a 1975 New York City to face a past he thought he’d left behind. Winston charts a deadly course through the New York’s mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to seize the iconic hotel, which serves as the meeting point for the world’s most dangerous criminals.”
The Continental is planned as a three-episode event series with each episode being 90 minutes long. The series is being written and executive produced by Greg Coolidge (Wayne, Ride Along) and Kirk Ward (Wayne), who also serve as showrunners. David Leitch, Derek Kolstad, Erica Lee, Chad Stahelski, Paul Wernick, and Rhett Reese will also serve as executive producers.
