Colman Domingo Set to Play Game Show Host in Edgar Wright's Reimagining of THE RUNNING MAN

Academy Award nominated actor Colman Domingo (Lincoln, Selma, Fear the Walking Dead) has joined the cast of director Edgar Wright’s upcoming adaptation of The Running Man. Domingo is set to play the host of the world’s most dangerous game show.

The new film, based on the 1982 novel by Stephen King, that he published under the pseudonym Richard Bachman, also has cast that includes Glen Powell, Josh Brolin, Katy O'Brian, Lee Pace, Michael Cera, Karl Glusman, Emilia Jones, David Zayas, William H. Macy, Sean Hayes, Jayme Lawson, and Daniel Ezra.

The Running Man is a dystopian story set in a future society where the government controls everything. The story follows Ben Richards, a desperate and impoverished man who participates in a deadly game show called The Running Man to win money for his family.

The game involves Richards being hunted by professional killers while trying to evade capture for a month. As he navigates through a decaying and dangerous urban landscape, Richards becomes a symbol of resistance against the oppressive government.

The Running Man will be released in theaters on November 7, 2025.
