Comic-Con Trailer Released For The CW's ROSWELL, NEW MEXICO Series
The CW debuted the first trailer for their new show Rosewell, New Mexico at Comic-Con this past weekend and if you weren't there to see it, you can no watch it online. This is the reboot of the 1999 WB/UPN series Roswell.
Roswell was an adaption of the Roswell High series of novels, but the original Roswell series featured the characters as teenagers. Roswell, New Mexico will feature the characters as adults.
The series is being written and executive produced by The Originals scribe Carina Adly MacKenzie. Here are the details that have been revealed on the story:
The new Roswell reflects the realities of its location in a state bordering Mexico. After reluctantly returning to her tourist-trap hometown of Roswell, NM, the daughter of undocumented immigrants discovers a shocking truth about her teenage crush who is now a police officer: He’s an alien who has kept his unearthly abilities hidden his entire life. She protects his secret as the two reconnect and begin to investigate his origins, but when a violent attack and long-standing government cover-up point to a greater alien presence on Earth, the politics of fear and hatred threaten to expose him and destroy their deepening romance.
The series stars Jeanine Mason as Liz and Nathan Parsons stars as Max. Lily Cowles and Michael Vlamis will play Max's alien siblings Isobel and Michael. Tyler Blackburn, Michael Trevino, Heather Hemmons, and Karan Oberoi will also star in the series.
The CW plans to release Roswell, New Mexico sometime during their 2018-2019 mid-season season.
