The NBC comedy series Community has been in the spotlight a lot recently. Joel McHale and Danni Pudi have both discussed the real possibility of a Community movie happening. Then we have the upcoming reunion where the cast will get together virtually to read the episode titled “Cooperative Polygraphy,” which is the fourth episode of Season 5.

Now creator Dan Harmon offered his thoughts on the possibility of seeing the Community movie actually happen and explains that conversations are happening! During an interview with The Wrap, he said:

“I can tell people for sure that the enthusiasm for Community, both for all of this time and the resurgence of it there’s always an aspect of that affects the marketplace. And when the marketplace gets affected, conversations happen. And when conversations happen, things happen.”

He went on to explain, “I mean, when you’re part of the Community family, you learn never to raise expectations, keep ‘em nice and low and then be pleasantly surprised.” But after saying that he went ahead and raised the expectations, saying:

“So I can say that there are conversations happening that people would want to be happening and that I’m very, very excited about the coming months.”

That’s very exciting to hear! It would be pretty awesome to see a Community movie happen to fulfill the prophecy of six seasons and a movie. It would be so cool if they managed to get the whole cast together again for the film! Except for Chevy Chase since they killed off his character Pierce in the series.

Are you excited to hear all this talk about a Community movie? Do you think it’ll actually happen?!
