Composer Danny Elfman Reunites with Tim Burton For His Addams Family Series WEDNESDAY
Composer Danny Elfman is teaming back up with director Tim Burton for his upcoming Addams Family inspired series, Wednesday. Elfman is being brought on board to compose the score for the entire Netflix series.
Elfman and Burton have worked together on several projects over the years include Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure, Batman, Edward Scissorhands, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Big Fish, Beetlejuice and more. They work together all the time! Elfman will collaborate with fellow composer Chris Bacon.
This is a coming-of-age comedy series about “a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.”
Jenna Ortega stars as Wednesday Addams, Luis Guzmán is playing Gomez Addams, and Catherine Zeta-Jones has been cast in the role of Morticia Addams. The series also stars Gwendoline Christie, Hunter Doohan, Percy Hynes White, Joy Sunday, Emma Myers, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Georgie Farmer, Naomi Ogawa and Moosa Mostafa.
