Concept Art For SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Features Ned Riding His Own Goblin Glider

Some cool new concept art has surfaced from Spider-Man: No Way Home and it features Jacob Batalon’s Ned Leeds riding his very own own Goblin Glider.

The image popped up on Reddit and was originally featured in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home – The Art of the Movie’ book. The image shows Ned Leeds flying on the glider and he’s on the verge of throwing a Pumpkin Bomb. All the designs are similar to what we’ve seen in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man films.

A lot of fans suspect that Ned, who was Peter Parker’s best friend, would eventually turn to the dark side. There was that whole conversation in the lab as the other Peter Parkers were talking about how their best friend, Harry Osborn, turned on them and became their enemy. This seemingly set up Ned to turn against his Peter.

That didn’t happen in No Way Home, but it’s something that could very well happen somewhere down the line. It would definitely make for an interesting story arc.

In the comics, Ned is revealed to be the first character to take on the mantle of the Hobgoblin in 1987’s Amazing Spider-Man #289; shortly after he’s exposed, he’s assassinated by The Foreigner. That whole thing ended up being retconned, though.
