Concept Art For The OBI-WAN KENOBI Series Features Obi-Wan and Darth Vader in a Lightsaber Battle and More!

Some awesome new concept art has surfaced for the upcoming live-action Star Wars series "Obi-Wan Kenobi," and it’s sure to get fans excited for what’s to come! One of the coolest pieces of art features Obi-Wan and Darth Vader locked in a lightsaber battle! It’s certainly going to be interesting to see how that actually comes about.

During the Disney+ Day event, a video was shared that you can watch here on Disney+ and it features Ewan McGregor and director Deborah Chow talking about the highly anticipated series.

The story is set 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, "where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, turned evil Sith Lord, Darth Vader."

McGregor says, "There's a hunger for this character to come back. The fans have been waiting long enough, you know, and the most beautiful thing of all is that it's brought me back together with Hayden (Christensen)... [We'll] have another swing at each other. It might be quite satisfying for everybody. We hope that you enjoy it as much as we've enjoyed making it!"

Chow added, "Something that is extremely exciting is the return of Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi. We are bringing back Hayden Christensen to reprise the role of Darth Vader. We couldn't tell the story of Obi-Wan Kenobi without addressing Anakin or Vader. " She went on to say, "This is quite a dark time that we're coming into with him," Chow explains. "Just being a Jedi is not safe. There are Jedi hunters out there. That's the starting place for our story; the interesting thing is going to be where it goes from there."

McGregor then says, "At least he has this one task left, which is to keep Luke safe."

You can check out all the concept art that was released below! Damn, I can’t wait to actually see some footage from this series!

Obi-Wan Kenobi will arrive on Disney+ sometime in 2022.
