Concept Art from STAR WARS REBELS
Earlier today we posted a fun clip from the upcoming animated series Star Wars Rebels. We now bring you a great collection of concept art from the show. The pieces give us a solid idea of the different worlds and settings they have included in the story. I love the style, and if you didn't already know, a lot of the design stuff that they have created for this show is based on the work of original Star Wars concept artist Ralph McQuarrie. I think that is one of the coolest things they could have done for a series like this.
Set between the events of "Episode III" and "IV" — an era spanning almost two decades never-before explored on-screen – "Star Wars Rebels" takes place in a time where the Empire is securing its grip on the galaxy and hunting down the last of the Jedi Knights as a fledgling rebellion against the Empire is taking shape.
The series is scheduled to premiere this fall as a one hour special on Disney Channel and will continue as a series on Disney XD.
