CRAZY RICH ASIANS Star Constance Wu Joins Jennifer Lopez's HUSTLERS

Annapurna is going through some changes right now which include getting rid of some projects. One such project is the movie Hustlers that will star Jennifer Lopez. If you were looking forward to the film, do not fret, for STX has picked up the title, so you will still see the stripper heist film.

In addition to the change of studio, there is a new cast member! Constance Wu from Crazy Rich Asians and Fresh Off the Boat will be joining Lopez according to Deadline.

Hustlers will take place in the late aughts (2000s) when the US was dealing with a big financial crisis. Director directed by Lorene Scafaria said this about the film:

“The film is an empathetic look at women and men, our gender roles, what we’re valued for, what we’ve been told is our value in every movie, TV show, every corner of culture. Men have been told they’re worth the size of their bank accounts. Women have been told they’re worth the symmetry of their faces, their bodies, their beauty and that’s what this film is based on. The rules of the club are the rules of the world.”

Wu’s role has not been disclosed, but it is a lead role according to sources.
