Cool Animated Opening Sequence For TNT's SNOWPIERCER Series
TNT has released a new teaser for their upcoming Snowpiercer series and it’s in the form of an animated opening sequence for the first episode. The animation was done in a style inspired by the style of art of the 1982 graphic novel Le Transperceneige.
The animated sequence is narrated by Daveed Diggs’ character as Layton Well, and it offers a quick overview of the background to the story the series will tell and how after the planet freezes over, a high-tech train called the arc is built. The arc was meant to be just for the elite, but it ends up being overrun by a mob of desperate survivors.
The cast of the series also includes Jennifer Connelly, Alison Wright, Mickey Sumner, Susan Park, Iddo Goldberg, Katie McGuinness, Lena Hall, Annalise Basso, Sam Otto, Roberto Urbina, Sheila Vand, Jaylin Fletcher, and Rowan Blanchard.
With a cast like this, I hope the series ends up being great! Here’s the synopsis:
Set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland Snowpiercer centers on the remnants of humanity, who inhabit a 1001 car, perpetually-moving train that circles the globe. Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival play out in this riveting television adaptation based on the acclaimed movie and graphic novel series of the same name.
Snowpiercer is set to premiere on TNT in spring 2020.
